Gianotti Crosti Syndrome
So...they have figured out that the rash is from Gianotti Crosti Syndrome. It is extremely rare. Dr. Pedro has never seen this before in any children and the new Pediatrician has only seen this once ever before...and she has been practicing medicine for quite a while now. I am glad that she is familiar with this because she knows about all the things to keep an eye out for. For example, my liver has become enlarged, but this is a common response to having the syndrome. Gianotti Crosti is a sort of autoimmune response that happens in children 3 months old to 15 years of age. It is so rare and is not contagious. This can come about for many reasons. We are not sure what set it off within me yet, that is what all the blood work and snot was for. We will know next week. Some of the things that can allow this to happen is immunization shots, a common virus (like a cold or flu) that I might have been exposed to prior to the rash appearing, or bacteria. If this was caused from a virus (like the cold or flu), and another child was exposed to this same virus that doesn't mean that my friend will come down with Gianotti Crosti Syndrome. That is just not how these autoimmune things work. The only way they would get this Syndrome is if their immune system response is like mine. So, I hope my friends are not worried that they will become speckled like me because they won't be. Also, I can't be around any of my friends right now, because my immune system is compromised. I go back to the doctor on Friday to get my stitches out and for them to check my liver again. The rash that is on my skin can last for up to 4 months. So don't be alarmed if you seem and I am still speckled. Hopefully I can return to school soon. I miss my friends and my teachers Miss Ashley and Miss Heather.

BIOPSY!
Elizabeth saw a dermatologist today for her skin rash. The doctor did a skin biopsy on her leg in order to figure out what has caused this to occur. She was a real trooper! They gave her a little stitch on her leg that will be removed in 10 days. She is VERY fussy right now and uncomfortable from all of this, but is hanging in there.
Michael and I would like to ask you all to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We will be receiving the results on Friday from the biopsy and hope it is nothing serious and that they can tell us exactly what has caused this to happen.

Cereal
Today my mommy and daddy gave me cereal! Finally something other than just that formula to drink all the time. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but once I got the hang of it, I couldn't get enough! I decided to help my daddy out because he was just not moving fast enough. I started grabbing the spoon and shoving it in my mouth. I can't wait till the feed me other things in a month.

Palm Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa Cooties'
Today was Palm Sunday and I went to church with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Cootie and Grandpa Cootie. I did much better today, but about halfway through the service my Daddy took me to the nursery to play. I liked that much better than sitting there having to be quiet. After church, we all went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. My cousin Kelly, Jenna, Uncle Steve and Aunt Barbara also came to visit. Kelly even brought her dog Coehn. He is such a cutie, but I didn't like it when he got too close to me. I think he makes me nervous. Anyway, here are some pictures of me with Kelly, Jenna and Coehn!

Cinema Wasteland!
Oh my goodness! We went to Cinema Wasteland today and oh boy was it exciting! Cinema Wasteland is a horror/B movie convention that takes place twice a year at the Holiday Inn in Strongsville. My mom and dad took me to it and there was so much to look at. They wheeled me around in my new stroller! It was so comfortable. Some people were even dressed up like it was Halloween! There was a lady there that had some fairy wings too. Unfortunately she did not have any in my size! My mommy bought me a couple of hair clips (2 have skulls on them and 1 has a lollipop on it), some miniture rubber duckies, and a small Teddy Scares doll. Here I am pictured with my new teddy scares! He is so comfortable and cute! The highlight of the day was when mom got one of her Living Dead Dolls signed by the creators. I didn't get a chance to have a picture with them because I was a little fussy during that time. My mom tells me all the time that the Living Dead Dolls are my inheritance. I am not sure what the means, but it sounds important! I can't wait to go back in October! Hopefully my new friend Carter can come with me!
P.S.....we missed spending time with the Junkins at Cinema Wasteland this time around!
